These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Base Month (the "App"), a household organizer application. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you invite a co-parent or family member, you're responsible for making sure they agree to these Terms as well.

Base Month helps households organize shared life: a task board, shared calendar, budget and invoicing tools, a health and exercise tracker (with optional Apple Health sync), an inventory list for recurring household items, messaging between household members, and a rewards and badges system. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away through our support page if you believe your account has been compromised.

Base Month is currently offered free of charge while in testing/beta — there is no paid subscription today. We intend to introduce an optional monthly subscription in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance of any change, and you will not be charged without first being given clear notice and, where required by the app store you downloaded Base Month from, an opportunity to accept updated pricing terms before any charge begins.

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose;
• harass, abuse, or harm another user;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or part of the App;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the App; or
• interfere with the App's normal operation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

You own the content you create in Base Month — tasks, budgets, notes, tracker entries, messages, and everything else you add. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the App's features to you and the household members you've shared it with.

Inviting another person as a co-parent or household member shares specific data with them, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for choosing who you invite and understanding what you're sharing with them. You can remove a household member's access at any time from your Account page.

The App may integrate with third-party services such as Apple HealthKit and the app store you downloaded Base Month from. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we're not responsible for their availability or content.

Base Month, its design, and its underlying software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you, other than your right to use the App under these Terms.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the App (or features of it) at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.

Base Month is provided "as is" and "as available." Especially while in testing/beta, we don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Tracker and health-related features are for personal organization only and are not medical advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Base Month is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Because the App is currently free during testing, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount, if any, you've paid us in the past 12 months.

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you within the App before they take effect. Continuing to use Base Month after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of our right to do so later.

If you downloaded Base Month from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Base Month only, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
